South Mainland

• Visit Jarlshof, The Viking settlement.
• Visit the Old Croft House in Dunrossness. Make sure to look out for the watermill.
• Visit one of the many knitwear retailers who sell traditional and contempory knits.
• Visit the Quendale mill.
• Take a walk along St Ninians Isle , a beautiful beach which was the site where the Treasure was found.
• Take a boat trip to Mousa and see the best preserved Pictish Broch in Shetland.
• View the "Scatness Dig" an ongoing archeological project.

North mainland

• Climb Ronas Hill, Shetlands highest peak. 450ms.
• Visit the Tangwick Haa museum for a look back in time.
• Don't miss the dramatic Eshaness cliffs!! Pop along the new Eshaness cafe at Braewick bay.
• Read the "Romance of Busta" and visit a 17th Century Lairds house and garden.
• Walk from Westayre B&B along the cliffs to the Hams of Muckle Roe for spectacular scenery and birdwatching.

Westside

• Take a trip to Foula the Island where "The edge of the world" was filmed.
• Don't miss a meal at Burrastow House, a former Lairds house, which has food to die for with views of Vaila Isle.
• Stop along the Bonhoga Gallery to view the latest exhibition and have a slice of homemade cake in the conservatory style café.
• Take part in an artistic workshop at the Hatchery by the Bonhoga.
• View the Beautiful Garden behind the Bode of, Voe House, in Walls.
• Buy some handworked Jewellery fom Hjaltastein.

Unst and Yell

• Visit the Valhalla Brewery for a tour and a taste of Britains most Northerly brewed beer.
• Visit Hermaness, a haven for bird watchers and a wildlife sanctuary.
• Visit the Boathaven, a fantastic exhibition of Shetland fishing vessels of the past.
• Muness Castle was built in 1598, still an imposing structure.
• Visit the Burravoe Haa, another quaint little museum. See spinning demonstrations and try some knitting for yourself.
